Cyber bullying

Cyber bullying is the use of information technology to repeatedly harm or harass other people in a deliberate manner. According to U.S. Legal Definitions, Cyber-bullying could be limited to posting rumors or gossips about a person in the internet bringing about hatred in other’s minds; or it may go to the extent of personally identifying victims and publishing materials severely defaming and humiliating them.

With the increase in use of these technologies, cyber bullying has become increasingly common, especially among teenagers. Awareness has also risen, due in part to high-profile cases like the suicide of Tyler Clementi. – Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyberbullying)

Cyber bullying is any form of bullying which takes place online or through your mobile phone. Websites like Facebook, Bebo, YouTube, MySpace, instant messaging on MSN and gaming forums can be great fun. But what do you do when things go wrong? Cyber bullying is rife on the internet and most young people will experience it at some time. -Cyber Bullying advice (http://www.bullying.co.uk/cyberbullying/what-is-cyberbullying/)

Harassment can be anything from being spammed by friends to someone not leaving you alone, stalking, messaging you all the time with threats etc. to stop this happening you can call the police or block who ever is harassing you through any social media sites and phone network providers can block numbers for you if you wish.

Blackmail:

Blackmail is a kind of threat. It is when someone wants you to do something for them and they have something you have or something you don't want people to see or whatever, so they threaten to use that against you if you don't do as they say.

Threats:

Do not feel like you have to give into threats. If you ever feel threatened make sure you report it as soon as you can. You can report it to the police, social media networks for them to take the profile down which is threatening.
